Established in August 2025, the home-based clinic offers remedial massage, dry needling and cupping, and is already growing a strong local following.
Ben said the name came from his focus on recovery.
“I kind of wanted to do more on the recovery side of things and help people with injuries and feeling better, so I thought recovery and small rooms … The Recovery Room just made sense,” he said.
Each appointment begins with discussion and assessment before tailored treatment plans are developed, often including remedial massage, dry needling or cupping, depending on client needs.
Ben said no two treatments were the same, with clients presenting with headaches, neck, back and shoulder pain, mobility issues, sporting injuries and more.
“People sometimes think it’s just for sporting injuries, but it’s really for everyone,” Ben said.
“We see people for circulation, tension, pain, recovery and general wellbeing.”
The business has grown through social media, word of mouth and local sport connections, with Ben also involved in soccer, helping to introduce clients through the club community.
He said the most rewarding part was helping people return to activity.
“Getting someone back to sport or back to doing what they love is the best part,” he said.
Appointments can be booked online via Instagram at therecoveryroom.tatura and Facebook, or by email.
As the business approaches its one-year milestone, Ben is focused on continuing to grow The Recovery Room, while maintaining its strong community feel.
He hopes to keep raising awareness that recovery services are for people of all ages and backgrounds, not just athletes.
