The Echuca-Moama Doll and Bear Show returns, with stalls featuring dolls, doll clothes, old toys, bears and craft items.

Echuca Doll Club secretary Kath Walsh has been involved with the show for about 25 years.
This year the date was shifted away from the Blues Festival weekend after traders struggled to find accommodation.
“We have quite a few stalls, mainly dolls, doll clothes and things related to dolls,” Mrs Walsh said.
“The traders sell whatever they have on offer and then we have a competition.”
Entrants submit their dolls for judging by two judges.

There will also be a kids' corner where children can play with dolls, though Mrs Walsh said the show was mainly about “looking at others' work and collections and buying your own dolls and doll-making supplies”.
Mrs Walsh's sister, Liz Baxter, still runs classes making porcelain dolls in her studio.
“To make porcelain dolls we have to clean up the greenware, fire them and then they paint them up,” Mrs Walsh said.
“They have to make everything for the doll, including shoes, handbags and hats.
“There will be a couple of stalls of newborn dolls at the Echuca Doll and Bear Show.
“I made a newborn doll, one about 17cm, to go up to the hospital to go in the crib for the stillborn babies, because they didn’t like having it empty.
“At the show we raise money for something around Echuca, to help where we can.”
Past beneficiaries of the Echuca-Moama Doll and Bear Show include the Palliative Care Unit at Echuca Regional Health, Victoria Park gardens, the Foodbank flood appeal at Echuca Neighbourhood House and the Fred Hollows Foundation.
Echuca-Moama Doll and Bear Show is on October 3, 2026 at the Echuca Uniting Church hall, 115 Hare St, Echuca from 9.30am to 4pm.
