Great news for the Tungamah Bowls Club: Tim McCurdy MP and Nationals Member for Ovens Valley attended Tungamah Bowls Club on Sunday to announce that if re-elected, our club will benefit by $700,000. Many locals and players were in attendance at a community BBQ and in support of a bowls event and were witness to this magnificent announcement. We have been applying for grants, selling raffle tickets, holding tournaments, catering and doing all things legally possible to try to boost that Building Fund. Nothing however can compare to this announcement as these funds could see a new building replace the old Shearers quarters moved on site in 1969.

Not a great start to the season for the Hoppers, going down in all Divisions this week. Midweek went to Club Corowa and came home with two Rink wins and 4 points but were defeated 64 to 47. We play YMGCR at home next. A 3s at home to Chiltern and were defeated 87 to 59 with one Rink win. Bus trip to Bright on Saturday. B1s played Club Mulwala on their terrific green. One rink only getting a victory, defeated 80 to 56. Home to Myrtleford Saturday. Early in the season for our Club but lots of work to be done.
· 100 UP second round Thursday 22nd but if you can play before do so.
Horse auction – Monday, November 2, 7pm start. To organise your table phone Mick 0419354437.
· Proceeds from all functions will again be directed to our Building Fund this season which has been growing slowly.
· No major raffle this year but we thank all those who have supported this venture over the past two years.
