The A-gGrade team went down against a very strong Katamatite, but there were still plenty of positives to take away from the game.
A highlight was seeing junior player Eliza Weir make her A-grade debut.
Thrown into the action in the first quarter with a specific job to do, Eliza delivered exactly what was asked of her. She matched up against a strong and much taller opponent, but competed brilliantly and showed plenty of composure and determination.
As always, Mon Toppin brought her trademark energy, laughter and positivity to the court. No matter the score, Mon always finds a way to lift the team and keep spirits high.

Blighty worked hard throughout the entire game and were willing to try several positional changes in an effort to shift the momentum. Unfortunately, the Katamatite girls proved too strong on the day.
Blighty struggled to maintain possession at times, turning over too much ball and missing some opportunities to create the flow of play needed to challenge the opposition.
Despite this, the girls never gave up and continued to fight hard until the final whistle.
