Sporting achievements recognised

Connor Wilson was recognised for his Riverina Blue.

The Deniliquin High School’s awards ceremony held at the RSL in December recognised students achievements across 2025 including in various sports.

The special presentations included sports pennants which acknowledged Riverina representation.

Two students were acknowledged for winning state trophies in their State Representation.

These were Connor Wilson in athletics and Sophie Pearn in equestrian.

Wilson also received recognition for Riverina Sporting Blue for exemplary sporting achievement and representative conduct.

The awards ceremony was a showcase for student achievements across the year with champions from the school’s sporting carnivals also acknowledged.

Sporting awards were as follows:

Riverina Blue - Athletics Connor Wilson.

Trophy for State Representation: Equestrian - Sophie Pearn and Athletics Connor Wilson.

Sports Pennants for Riverina Representation: Athletics - Oliver Dellwo, Christopher Dixon, Emma Wettenhall; Cross Country - Oliver Dellwo, Khoa Unwin, Emma Wettenhall; Equestrian - Sophie Pearn, Emma Wettenhall; Netball - Phoebe Newman, Ava Richards; Soccer - Roche Du Toit, Swimming - Elka Connolly, Oliver Dellwo; Tennis - Jack McGrillen, Emma Wettenhall.
