The spectacle will go ahead as planned at the new location of Princess Park, corner of Nixon St and Quinan Parade, with the Friday Race check-in remaining at the Shepparton Brewery, Edward St between 4-6pm on Friday, August 14.
On Saturday, August 15, the festival will begin with a race check-in from 12pm until 5.30pm, with the 5km taking place from 3.45pm and the 2km following from 4.45pm.
Entertainment in the form of live music will also go ahead from from 2.30pm, with Pozzative Duo, The Phalconeers and Golden Guitar-winning country music artist Andrew Swift on stage across the weekend.
Meanwhile, an Event Village consisting of food trucks, kids entertainment and a Shepparton Brewery pop-up on site has been planned for the event.
On Sunday, August 16, the schedule features one revision from the previous plan, with the 10km set to now take place at a new time of 9.30am.
Otherwise, the itinerary for the day remains unchanged, with race check-in between 5am and 9am, the the marathon and half-marathon races starting at 7.30am and live music between 9am-2pm.
“We appreciate your understanding as our team works quickly to deliver the festival safely despite the flooding,” Shepparton Running Festival 2026 event director Matt Morris said.
“We look forward to welcoming you to Princess Park this weekend.”
Organisers of the festival, which has taken place since 1998, have urged the public not to attend Victoria Park Lake on the weekend, with the revised event location available here.
“Saturday and Sunday race check-in, all races and the festival precinct will be at Princess Park. Do not attend Victoria Park Lake,” Morris said.
Spots for races including the 2km family run and the 5km run are now sold out, you can sign up to take part and see the revised course ahead of the event on the Shepparton Running Festival website.
