Rich River performed strongly in the rink skipped by Keith Hewitt, earning an 18-12 victory, while Trevor Nagorcka skipped Rich River to a 24-12 win in the remaining rink, falling short overall despite claiming two rinks to one.
The win improves Rochester to a 2-2 record for the season, which it will hope to build upon when it plays Echuca on Saturday.
In other division one games, Stanhope beat Echuca 13-54 to 3-48, Moama defeated Tongala 13-58 to 3-42 and Mathoura proved too strong for Deniliquin, winning 14-68 to 2-63.
Rochester encountered a strong Deniliquin side in division two, falling 0-44 to 16-60.
It was a tough day for Rochy, who lost the first rink 18-21, the second rink 12-21 and the final rink 14-18, as it continues to search for its first win of the season.
Division three saw Rochester go down to a rampant Stanhope, with the 0-49 to 16-68 scoreline largely down to the second rink, which Stanhope claimed 30-13.
Elmore claimed one rink in its loss to Rich River, with the home side beaten 2-50 to 14-60, while Lockington felt the might of Deni RSL, going down 2-40 to 14-81.
In division four, Lockington was unable to topple the unbeaten Moama, beaten 0-37 to 16-74.
Division five witnessed an exciting draw between Lockington and Moama Green, as each side scored 7-34, while Elmore won after Tongala forfeited, and Rochester forfeited against Echuca White.
