The great momentum continued throughout the second and third quarters.
Jack Martin was great in the ruck all around the ground, as was Cooper Rasmussen, River Powles and Max Seabrook in the contests.
The final quarter was very even, but Rochester's all-around teamwork and determination saw them victorious in what was a great game to watch, with fantastic skills on show.

Under-14 Mixed
The Rochester Tigers Under-14 team had their first home game of the season as they came up against Eaglehawk.
The team was coming off a loss last week and were keen to put up a strong showing at home.
Right from the first bounce, the midfield was totally dominant.
Their ability to link up with handballs and run through the front of contests meant that the forwards got some great delivery.
The first quarter was an absolute domination by the young tiger tribe as they came out firing.
The first goal of the game was set up by a great effort by Mason Mundie in the ruck when he was able to follow up his tap work by scrubbing a kick forward.
Mac Dickinson was then able to out body his opponent in the square and ran into an open goal.
Harrison Pangrazio then snapped from the pocket to find Harrison Wilkins on his own at the top of the goal square.
Boof kicked truly, and the Tigers had jumped the Borough.
The boys were then able to win the ball from the middle of the ground again and pumped the forward.
A clever snap from Luke Drust was swallowed up by Mac who marked strongly and kicked truly.
By now, the boys were chock-full of confidence and were playing some great footy.
The highlight of the quarter was an end-to-end passage of play that started with a switch kick from Walt James in the back pocket.
The boys moved the ball with precision from end to end, which ended with Asher Rasmussen chipping a kick to Taylor Murray who marked and then goaled.
The theme for the quarter was the boys playing brilliant, team footy.
They continually linked up, looked for teammates in better position and moved the ball so well by hand.
By quarter time, the boys had kicked 7 goals to none.
The second quarter started in much the same way as the first.
A clever snap kick from Louis Frawley who received the ball from Hugh Acocks, resulted in another goal to Mac Dickinson.
A towering mark from Asher Rasmussen close to goal and a quick handball, resulted in a great snapped goal from Mitch McInnes.
The midfield continued to totally dominate the contest and Harry Rasmussen was able to surge the ball forward.
This resulted in a mark to Asher Rasmussen, who then had a bit of kick to kick with Hugh Acocks that resulted in a goal to Asher.
A fantastic tackle by Pat O’Sullivan resulted in a holding the ball free kick, he then moved the ball on quickly, which resulted in a strong mark from Walt James who marked and kicked accurately.
Max Lea was damaging on the wing and continued to find time and space.
All in all, it was a complete team performance.
Every single player contributed and played in a style that their coaches would be happy with.
Their ability to run and create the overlap handball was a joy to watch and bought all the team into the game.
Best on the day were Mac Dickinson who kicked six goals and marked everything that went near him, Asher Rasmussen who did as he pleased through the midfield and brought his teammates into the game with his precision disposal.
Harry Rasmussen was a key part of the midfield that was so dominant and his relentless running brought his teammates into the game.
Hugh Acocks was again strong in the contest and his marking and tackling were a key factor to the Tigers’ win.
Mason Mundie dominated the ruck and took many telling marks all over the ground.
Max Lea ran up and down his wing all day and was able to provide a key link in many Tiger forward charges.

Rochy didn’t show the energy of Round one, but did manage to score 2.1 in the third term all off the boot of Alida Beer.
Well done to the girls for keeping going for the whole game despite some illness, injury and even an on-field bee sting.

Under-16 Boys
After leaving their run home too late last weekend, the Rochy boys came out firing from the first bounce on Sunday against Golden Square’s second side.
Winning the toss and kicking with a southerly breeze, the majority of play in the first quarter was all Rochy with eight scoring shots (4.4) to Square’s one goal at the first break.
This trend continued for the entire game, with coach Pat Tarrant having plenty of positive things to say to the boys.
Following some instruction after last week’s game, the midfield with rotating rucks in Darcey Pump, Preston Kath and Corey Pangrazio, managed to win most centre bounces this week.
Handy work by the midfielders converted these centre clearances to scores, with Rochy going into the half-time break with a strong hold on Golden Square; Rochy 7.5 (47) to Square 1.3 (9).
In the second half, Oscar Danswan was moved from the backline and onto the wing, where he was involved in a number of good passages of play.
Cal Giffin and Tom Reynolds used their size well to beat the Square forwards, with Cal doing a great job saving some close goals as the last line of defence.
By three-quarter time Square had only managed to put seven more points on the board, with Rochy taking the lead out to nine goals.
Small forwards Tom McFadzean, Asher Lehmann and Declan Carmichael were well-fed from the tall forwards, giving them multiple scoring opportunities.
Kaelan Connor was a great aerial target up forward.
Rochy finished off as strong as they started, kicking four majors in the final quarter taking out a comfortable win.
