Two early goals from The Storm had Rochy chasing their lead, with the grit and determination they’ve shown all year.
A beautiful goal from Maya Riordan, followed by another from Mila Cottam put Rochy within two goals.

Strathfieldsaye had to fight hard as the ball spent the majority of time in Rochy’s forward line, but goals were hard to find.
Unfortunately, The Storm put an end to a brilliant first season for Rochy’s Under-15 girls team.
Well done to the girls and their families on a great year, you’ve made us all very proud.

Under-14 Mixed
After losing by a point to Castlemaine last week, Rochester was out for redemption against White Hills.

With the White Hills ground heavy from the morning rain, White Hills started well with the first two goals of the game, as Rochester struggled to find their momentum.
Hugh Acocks kicked Rochester’s only goal for the quarter, giving White Hills a six-point lead at quarter time.
Rochester’s coach, Tim Rasmussen, gave some inspiring words at quarter time, lifting the Rochester players, who came out with renewed momentum, scoring the first two goals of the quarter.
Rochester had plenty of play in their forward area and were able to take the lead by 10 points into halftime.

The third quarter was a close battle between the two teams, with both teams having plenty of the ball.
White Hills was able to score the only goal for the quarter, as both teams were hard at every contest.

Rochester held on to a one-point lead heading into the last quarter.
Rochester came out strong in the last quarter and kicked the first goal through Judd Cuttriss on the goal line.
Rochester’s midfield was standing up and having plenty of the ball, as Judd Cuttriss kicked another goal to put Rochester in front by 15 points.
Rochester had the momentum and continued to kick ahead to win by 26 points.
