What a night for the Rochester under-12 girls last Friday night.

They truly embodied coach Trent Riordan’s philosophy; have fun, pick up the ball, and celebrate.
A 6.4. (40) victory against South Bendigo Red 1.2. (8_ at Catherine McAuley College was a huge achievement.
The team had standout performances across the board.
Josie Lea was a defensive powerhouse, stripping the ball from the opposition, while Kaylee Saunders showed off her speed and agility.
Ella Forde was on fire with her accuracy, kicking three goals throughout the game.
Meanwhile, Ella Mundie and Billie Watson put in the hard yards, and Ellie Riordan and Alva Acocks weren’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
A well-earned first win of the season—what a moment for the team.

Under-15 Girls
It was a great contest at North Bendigo on Sunday for the under-15 girls.
The team started off strong, with Ella Treacy a starring scorer.
Macey Ryan displayed superb ruck skills, able to tap it out to Alida Beer who was going at lightning speed through the midfield.
Bec Dobson was really strong in defence for only her second game of the season.
It was a tight game, but the girls were able to hold the Roos off to take out the win.
Rochester 3.9 (27) defeated North Bendigo 3.4 (22)

Under-14 Mixed
With grading complete, Rochester were placed in to reserve 1 and were ready to take on Maryborough.
Rochester started well with an early goal to George McFadzean, the first goal of the game.
Asher Rasmussen and Mac Dickinson were marking well in the forward line, while Hugh Acocks was strong around every contest.
Rochester was moving the ball well through the middle of the ground, finding Mac Dickinson for another goal.
Rochester started the second quarter kicking with the wind and scored an early goal, again from Mac Dickinson.
Walt James was working hard down the wing and taking marks all over the ground.
Harrison Wilkins was using the ball well, first passing to Mitch McInnes, who scored, and then scoring his own goal, to put Rochester in front for the first time.
Mac Dickinson was strong around the contests, tapping the ball straight out to Asher Rasmussen to score and then quickly responding with another.
Luke Drust also scored a goal in the quarter.
Maryborough came out strong from the start of the third quarter and carried its momentum into the break.
Rochester’s only goal came from George McFadzean.
Maryborough were able to take a commanding lead into the final quarter.
Maryborough kept their momentum going in the fourth quarter, scoring quickly from the break.
Rochester started to build momentum after a snap from the point post to score by Asher Rasmussen.
Hugh Acocks and Asher Rasmussen were combining well all over the ground, leading their team at every contest and finding Harrison Wilkins in the square for another goal.
With 10 minutes to go, Rochester still trailed by three goals.
With goals to Harrison Wilkins, Asher Rasmussen and Hugh Acocks they were able to take the lead, and win by 3 points.
A great come from behind win for Rochester, who fought until the final siren.

Under-16 Boys
After a couple of rough weeks on the scoreboard, the Rochy boys came out strong against Maiden Gully, putting two quick goals on the board in the first few minutes of the game.
Amon Riordan was in absolutely everything, particularly in the first half.
The second quarter, however, began to look like a repeat of last week with Rochy unable to get a score on the board for the majority of the quarter.
Enter Tom McFadzean who relishes a sneaky goal.
He was hanging out behind the pack of talls, when the opportunity arose to whip round on a loose ball and kick a major right before the siren.
Rochy went to the main break 13 points behind.
The third quarter was clearly Rochy’s best, showing Maiden Gully that they were still in it.
Tom McFadzean was up about early, piling on two more quick goals.
New recruit Ryan Wilson was dangerous through the middle and forward line, also kicking a major against his old side.
The Tigers' bigger bodies in Preston Kath and Corey Pangrazio ran the ruck, making good use of their bodies and finding their teammates often.
By three-quarter time, Rochy’s accurate kicking had them well and truly back in the game, sitting on 58 points to MGYCW’s 62.
The final quarter saw the Eagles pull away though, with many more scoring shots setting them up for a win from early in the last.
Heath Kyne applied good pressure across the ground and took a couple of great marks.
Nate Macfarlane, with impressive speed, gave intensive chase all throughout the game.
Despite being tagged in the last, Cale James was solid through the centre, ending the game with three goals.
It was a great game of footy from both sides, with Rochy showing promise that they have more to give yet – it’s early days as they come together as a new unit.
