The Puckapunyal Cup will return on Friday, April 19, with a full day of racing and plenty of trackside action.
The Australian Defence Force will bring two static displays in the form of a Hawkeye and a Bushmaster, while all ADF personnel will benefit from free entry on the day.
In addition, Puckapunyal Cup partner Ventia will have a recruitment tent trackside, and Defence Recruiting will also be in attendance.
SRC chief executive Chris Martin said there was a buzz around the club with racing returning.
“The last few months have seen some important maintenance work undertaken both on and off the track, which will support us over a busy end to the racing season,” Mr Martin said.
“While it’s been great to tick off some projects, we couldn’t be more excited to see racing return and welcome the community back to Kobyboyn Rd.
“The track is looking in top condition, and we’ve got five meets before the end of July.
“We’ve got Bar Landy dining packages for sale to kick your weekend off in style with a great view of the straight.”
The SRC is strengthening its connection with the local community, with the return of the Puckapunyal Cup demonstrating a clear commitment to the region.
“We’re really proud of the support we have from local businesses, and we’re eager to keep building our relationships with the broader community,” Mr Martin said.
“The ADF and Puckapunyal are a huge part of our community, and they’ve been incredibly receptive to the return of the Puckapunyal Cup.
“We hope to see plenty of ADF families and personnel in attendance and we’re looking forward to giving them a fantastic, family-friendly experience on Friday.
“Our gates are open from midday Friday, and I encourage everyone to come along and enjoy a relaxing day of high-quality country racing.”
