The Mounts went into the finals series with a perfect record, but had to battle through some hardship after surprisingly dropping the qualifying final to grand final day opposition White Hills 58-55.
With that defeat fresh in its mind, Pleasant came out of the gates firing on Saturday at Strauch Reserve and had broken out to a 15-8 lead by the end of the opening quarter.
However, the Demons weren’t to be so easily dispatched and clawed their way back into the game over the middle periods.
By three-quarter time, the game was still undecided, the lead cut back to four, 37-33, but Mounts weren’t to be denied.
The minor premiers closed out the game confidently, rolling to a 47-41 victory and a well-deserved flag.
