Wright rejoined the club from Tongala ahead of its 2026 campaign.
She featured 15 times for the Magpies this year as a mid-court player, primarily starting at wing attack.
“We couldn’t be happier with this appointment and can’t wait to see what’s ahead in 2027!” Moama wrote on its Facebook post announcing the coaching change.
As a result of Wright’s appointment, Carri Carter will step aside from the role.
Carter led the side to an elimination final this year, where it was eliminated by Rumbalara after finishing fifth.
“Since joining our club in 2020, Carri Carter has dedicated countless hours to coaching and supporting our players,” the club said in a separate post thanking the coach.
“Her wisdom, passion and excellence have guided many teenagers and adults throughout their netball journeys.”
Wright will now lead the charge, coming in with the experience of coaching the Magpies’ 15-and-under team this year.
The juniors have reached their division’s grand final after finishing second in the regular season.
They will play either Cobram or Echuca United in the decider on September 19.
