Grassroots football and netball clubs are once again joining the fight against Motor Neurone Disease (MND), with Victoria Park set to be awash in blue once again.
After a successful effort in 2021, Echuca Football Netball Club is raising funds this Saturday, June 11 as part of the FightMND round.
Echuca is holding a fundraising day during the round nine match-up with Mooroopna, with EFNC hoping to raise up to $70,000 for FightMND.
The club has 2500 beanies available for purchase at local retailers, and fundraising efforts on the day will include beanie purchases, a gate raffle and money tins.
Mooroopna Football Netball Club will also join the Murray Bombers in efforts on the field, with both clubs’ football and netball sides donning Sockit2MND socks during their games.
Players from both clubs’ senior football and A-grade netball sides will also gather at three-quarter time of the Reserves match, arm-in-arm and adorned in Sockit2MND socks, which are set to worn during the game.
EFNC is once again raising funds in conjunction with Big Freeze 8, and beanies will be available at a variety of local businesses, as well as on game day, with all proceeds going towards FightMND.
