Division 2 lost to Stanhope by eight shots and Division 3 lost by five shots against Moama Green.
The Division 3 team were successful on one rink where John Wilson, Jim Jennings, Ian Chessells and Robyn Ferry won a tight contest 17-15.
In the other game, Bruce Ferry, James Rhook, Ron Marchetti and Gaye Goodwin could not make significant inroads against their opponents and went down by seven shots – 23/16.
Final score: Echuca 38 d RSL 33.
In Division 2 RSL won only the single rink while Stanhope prevailed on the other two.
Tony Tonta, Cheryl Bradley, Wayne Bradley and Jo Chick went down 19-23 despite a late run which saw them one shot adrift at 19/20 with one end to play.
Stanhope claimed the final end to prevail.
Craig Taylor, Ian McKenzie, Archie Webster and Gary Hulm proved the shining light for the Diggers to win 23-20 on their rink.
From 12-18 down on the 15th end, they scored 11 shots to two over the remaining ends to win 23-20.
Skipper Taylor continued his great bowls of late with an impressive display.
Jenny Tonta, Gary Koopman, Ken Bowden and Miro Peterman rued a tardy start, conceding seven shots on the first four ends.
There was nothing between the teams from that point on but the Diggers could not break through to claw back the lead, with seven shots the final margin, 20-13.
Final score: Stanhope 63 d RSL 55.
