The Steamers charged to a 14-74 to 2-36 win over competition newcomers Stanhope.
In other matches, Rich River edged out Tongala by two shots and Mathoura bounced back from its first round loss to Rochester, defeating Mathoura 61-55, claming 15 of a possible 16 points.
Division 2 action saw Rochester and Tongala play out a 56-all draw at Tongala.
Leigh Milgate was Rochy’s winning skip, defeating Stephen Tinning 18-14, while Graeme Chambers lost 19-23 to Tongala’s Peter O’Brien.
Phil Cooper (Tongala) and Norm Hodge (Rochester) played out a 19-all draw.
In Division 3, Lockington recorded its first win of the season with a clean sweep of the rinks at Rich River.
Lockington prevailed 16-74 to 0-37, a nice turnaround after dropping its opening game of the season at home to Deniliquin.
Phil Cunnington set the tone with a 31-12 demolition of John James, while Leanne McInnes defeated Allan Linquist by 12 shots and James Harris accounted for John Stuart 17-11.
Elmore was equally impressive in a big win over Rochester - 16-78 to 0-39.
Home comforts suited Elmore, who won all three rinks.
Garry Stoll defeated Kevin Hall 25-10, Gary Williams proved too strong for Gavin Houilhan, also winning 25-10 and Keith Brooks scored a 28-19 victory over Peter Stack.
The win was the first of the season for Elmore, who opened the season with a 15-shot loss to Moama.
The dominant successes lift Elmore to third and Lockington to fourth, with Rochester sliding down to eighth spot.
Lockington won a thriller in Division 4, edging out Deniliquin RSL by four shots.
Denise Gilmore and John Whiteside were winning skips for Locky, who prevailed 14-59 to 2-55.
Division 5 saw Elmore play out a 41-all draw with Moama Steamers Black.
Tongala defeated Lockington 14-49 to 0-37 and Rochester also finished up on the wrong side of the ledger as Echuca won 14-42 to 0-32.
Rochester experienced its first loss of the Campaspe Bowls Area Division 1 weekend pennant season on Saturday.
