The game was played over five 20-minute sessions and involved reserves, thirds players, and seniors.
Kyabram co-coach Corey Carver was again pleased with how his charges moved the ball and the efforts of some new faces.
When both sides had their best players on the park the Bombers were dominant.
They kicked the first nine goals of the game, with five coming from the boot of veteran Brad Mangan, who looked trim at full forward in the lead-up to the new season.
Classy onballers in Mick Mattingly, Kaine Herbert and Liam Odgen initiated most of the forward moves along with ruckman Aidan Robinson until he left the ground after rolling an ankle early in the game.
Regulars Brad Whitford and Jason Morgan were standouts in defence, and recruit Eamon Ogden was also impressive in the back half with his running power and anticipation.
Another newcomer, Jake Torney, used on the ball and in attack, also showed out again, while Mitch Dodos, in attack, also provided a reliable aerial target along with Mangan.
Younger players Adam Pulsoni and Nic Jephson also stood out at times.
The Bombers had up to nine senior players — vice-captain Josh Dillon Anthony Depasquale, Lachie Smith, Charlie Barnett, Riley Ironside, Tom Burnett, Will Golds and Queensland recruits, onballer Bailey Tome and 200cm ruckman Marcus Khoo — missing.
They are all expected to be available this Saturday when the Bombers meet another Bendigo league side, South Bendigo, at Lancaster in their final hit-out before the Goulburn Valley League season starts with Kyabram hosting Mooroopna in a night game on April 6.
