Search continues for more junior girls’ cricketers

GMC junior co-ordinator Marcus Maher said he was looking forward to an exciting season.

“We’ve had lots of expressions of interest in the past few weeks with COVID restrictions starting to ease,” he said.

“Kyabram has already filled two sides which is really exciting and shows just how popular cricket is.

“If someone is looking to try a new sport, I would be urging them to give cricket a go.

“It doesn’t matter if you’ve never played before. Coaches of our teams will be willing to help teach you.

“We’re going to be flexible this season to help out all the clubs as much as possible.”
