A shock loss to Cooma in its last game saw the reigning premier replaced in the top four by its opponent.
And Rochy's quest to make up ground took a hit on Saturday after day one of their match with Echuca was called off to the warm conditions, with the game to now be played as a one-dayer this Saturday.
“It's very important we get back to playing our best cricket,” captain Sean Williams said.
“The feeling in the group is still good considering the loss, but it probably did bring us back to earth a little bit.
“We've proven we can compete with the best teams in the competition, it's just about translating that form into games against those sides who haven't been playing as well.
“But I'm confident we can win our last two games to keep the premiership defence alive.”
Williams said if his side were to beat Echuca, the batsmen would need to rise to the challenge.
“We've probably been a little too inconsistent with the bat in our last few games,” he said.
“If someone is able to make a big score it will give us a good opportunity to bat around them and go on to make a big score.
“Our bowlers have been terrific this year and I'm confident they can defend most scores we can put on the board.”
In other matches, Moama will face Tongala, Cooma will host BLU and Kyabram Fire Brigade do battle with Echuca South.
Rochester will face BLU and Echuca South in their other remaining matches.
