Australia posted their fourth consecutive Test victory - and third straight under new coach Les Kiss - with a 27-21 win over Argentina in San Salvador on Sunday (AEST).
The streak follows six-straight losses and a run of nine defeats in 10 Tests late in predecessor Joe Schmidt's reign.
Now, seeking a fifth-straight triumph for the first time since 2021, the Wallabies are taking nothing for granted heading into this week's Mendoza duel.
Two years ago, Australia followed up a one-point win over Argentina in La Plata with a record-breaking 67-27 loss in Santa Fe.
It marked the most points the Wallabies, who incredibly led 20-3 after 30 minutes, had ever conceded in a match.
Star winger Max Jorgensen, who made his run-on debut in that Test, says that experience is still in the back of the Wallabies' minds.
"It's looking back at that and seeing how we cannot let that happen again," the 22-year-old said.
"Never count them out ... it feels like you're on the front foot and then everything just flips."
Jorgensen, fellow winger Harry Potter and fullback Tom Wright have been the recurring figures during the side's winning ways that have come despite mass changes elsewhere.
Kiss has assessed his options in all three rows of the scrum and also introduced Isaac Henry in the midfield to create legitimate selection pressure.
Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii was strong in his bench cameo, while captain Harry Wilson, star tight-head prop Taniela Tupou, abrasive lock Lukhan Salakaia-Loto and reigning John Eales Medallist Len Ikitau were all left out of the six-point win.
It's possible that all five will start in Mendoza as the staff and players balance their attention between the next game and next year's Rugby World Cup in Australia.
"The World Cup's going to be massive and everyone has it in the back of their mind, just sitting there," Jorgensen said.
"We look forward a little bit, but not too much."
Henry fronted up defensively against Los Pumas and ran effective lines in his starting debut against Japan in Townsville last month in a cameo that impressed Jorgensen.
"It's made that centre competition so much more competitive," the winger said.
"With all the changes happening, I don't think it matters too much.
"We're such a tight group, so well connected.
"No matter who comes in, in what jersey, we know they're going to do a job for the team.
"Everyone knows what each player brings and their skill set, knows how to work with them. That connection is there for whoever comes on the field."
