Victorian State Ballet ‘en pointe’ in Shepparton with Don Quixote

Don Quixote: Goulburn Valley dancers will be adapting this classic piece of literature to the stage at Riverlinks Eastbank on Sunday, June 5.

The stage is set at Riverlinks Eastbank for 26 local dancers from Goulburn Valley Academy of Ballet to perform the classical ballet Don Quixote.

Presented by Victorian State Ballet, Don Quixote is the retelling of the famous Spanish novel through choreography and spectacular music.

A cast of internationally recognised dancers will perform alongside local dancers from across the Goulburn Valley on Sunday, June 5 at 2pm.

The local dancers from Goulburn Valley Academy of Ballet and U Can Dance studio who will be performing on Sunday:

Asha Birchall, Chiara Walker, Alexia Alampi, Isabelle Sinclair, Natalie Pengilley, Mia Kalms, Isla McKenzie, Piper Henderson, Katie Hamilton, Yolana Rithjoven, Savannah Mawson, Scarlett Eddy, Ivy Henderson, Vienna Jenkins, Ruby Daiton, Scarlet Tacey, Mia Girvan, Lillie Bickerstaff, Sophia Carrafa, Hayey Austen, Ava Girvan, Alick Jarvis, Elizabeth Jarvis, Sienna Williams, Tilly Priestly and Mikayla Urbanavicius.

Riverlinks venues manager Ken Cameron said audiences could expect an unforgettable performance.

“It is always an exciting experience to see world-class performers on our stage, and this is a great show to see if you have never been to the ballet — it’s a very exciting performance from both the music and dance perspectives,” he said.
