Enrolments are now being accepted for one of North East Artisans’ (NEA) final workshops before it vacates its current Carrier St home.
An NEA spokesperson said First Nations artist Desiree Walker would be hosting the classes.
“At the workshop traditional and non-traditional woven works will be created,” the spokesperson said.
“All materials required will be provided, including raffia, reeds, shells, feathers, bark and other artefacts.”
Tuition for the course is $55 per session and a reservation fee of $25 is required by August 1.
The workshops will take place at 28 Carrier St on Saturday, August 6, and Saturday, August 13, from 10am to 2pm.
