For LBU, it is proving it could have that champion team on its hands after another stellar performance against Mount Pleasant in round three of the Heathcote and District Football League.
Despite a drop in production in the third quarter - along with a late Mount Pleasant resurgence - the Cats still walked away from the contest with a handy 47-point win.
And most pleasing for LBU coach Brodie Collins was the fact it wasn't just one player doing all the hard work.
“Even with the win last week against Colbo, and before that Heathcote, I wouldn't think there were any genuine standout players,” Collins said.
“It just a really good spread of players.
“That helps having good depth. It means someone can have an off day but someone else stands up.
“It's really positive the way we're going about it at the moment as a team, not individuals.”
Coming out firing against Mount Pleasant, LBU built up an impressive 50-point lead by half-time.
An underwhelming third quarter followed - with both sides kicking just one major - before a fast and furious finish saw a combined 11 goals scored.
“Our third quarter wasn't the greatest, but we responded, and we held them off,” Collins said.
“They came back at us, but all good sides do that, so it's good to get a bit of momentum and keep ticking the wins off.”
Sitting atop the ladder with three wins from three games, LBU will head into this Saturday's game strong favourites against a winless Elmore.
But Collins is intent on making sure his side doesn't get complacent or go in underestimating Elmore.
“It is pleasing (to go 3-0) considering we didn't know where we were going to sit,” Collins said.
“So to get these wins under the belt is like gold.
“But it only means something if we keep doing it because we can't just rest on our laurels.
“We've got to keep the foot down and keep marching on and improving, because everyone else will be improving as well.”
