The program, worth $40,000, is designed to support and give back to the local region.
Strawberry Fields’ Local Community Grant Program has been running since 2015 and is designed to give back to causes, groups and charities within the Berrigan shire.
The grants are made of money from ticket sales, and past recipients have included Berrigan Football Club, Can Assist Finley and Moira FoodShare program.
Strawberry Fields has a history of philanthropy.
Since 2021, Strawberry Fields, in partnership with Humanitix, has seen ticketing result in $110,000 being donated to charity to educate disadvantaged children and Indigenous youth.
As for future plans, according to festival director Tara Benney, Strawberry Fields plans to return to Tocumwal in 2024.
"We have been blown away by the overwhelming positive feedback we have received following our November edition, and we are excited about what we can bring to Tocumwal in 2024,” she said.
Applications for Local Community Grants close on March 31, 2024, and will be awarded in April, 2024. Early applications are encouraged to avoid missing out.
