In celebration of the last day of term three, learners wore casual clothes in the theme of the Resilience Project’s GEM Heroes.
The superheroes encourage values such as gratitude, represented by orange; empathy, shown by green; mindfulness, depicted by purple; and emotional literacy, taking on red.

Over the past year, students at St Joe’s have dedicated time to the Resilience Project, which first landed at local schools in September 2024.
The other six schools in its cluster include Rochester Secondary College, St Joseph’s College Echuca, Lockington Consolidated School, Rochester Primary School, Goornong Primary School and Nanneella Estate Primary School.
Putting their year of learning into practice, St Joe’s students donned their favourite of the four GEM Heroes’ colours.
Gratitude, empathy, mindfulness and emotional literacy colour-coded the casual dress.
Some took it a step further, with superhero gear inspired by the mascots, like Prep student Henry Kelly, whose dad made a shield, helmet and wings inspired by the mindfulness hero.
Students also enjoyed a pasta lunch for their final day before two weeks of school holidays.
