Cafe Owner Lisa Froon was happily behind the counter serving customers and spoke of the annual event.
“We did this last year and are doing it again. Everyone likes fairy bread. They all think it’s a bit of fun, which brightens their day,” Mrs Froon said.
“When things like this are going on, it’s a light-hearted story, which is nicer putting a smile on people’s faces with a simple triangle.”
The day could have gone unnoticed if not for a curiously dressed customer who had visited the store only a few weeks earlier.
“A customer came in a few weeks ago, and I asked them where they bought the pink shirt, and I found out it was at a clothing store in Echuca,” Mrs Froon said.

“So all the staff are wearing the same shirt for the day celebrating National Fairy Bread Day.”
While the team at the cafe celebrated an obscure day like National Fairy Bread Day, the business will also support Rochester residents who may be alone at Christmas.
“On Christmas Day, we will be having a lunch for Rochester residents,” Mrs Froon said.
“Last year, we had about 30 people attend our Christmas Day lunch, as we don’t think anyone should be alone on December 25, with lunch being served at noon.”
Advanced bookings for the Christmas Day lunch are needed to ensure all attendees can enjoy a delicious meal and great company.
The cafe also hosts a full sit-down breakfast every Saturday from 8am to 10am.
So bring yourself, your family and friends for a delicious meal.
The Cafe Rochester is located at 61 Mackay St, Rochester.
