Founded 16 years ago with the aim of challenging outdated perceptions of vocational education, National Skills Week has become one of the country's leading platforms for highlighting the value, diversity and opportunities offered through apprenticeships, traineeships and vocational learning pathways.
The annual initiative was established around four key objectives: dispelling negative perceptions surrounding VET, showcasing the diversity of career opportunities it provides, celebrating the success stories that emerge from skills training, and drawing attention to emerging workforce needs and industry trends.
