The water corporation has launched a survey as it begins developing its 2028–2033 pricing plan, which will outline the services, investments and costs proposed for the next five years.
Coliban Water managing director Damian Wells said customer feedback would be central to the process.
“The decisions we make through this process will help shape the services our customers rely on every day, the investments we make in essential infrastructure and the prices customers pay,” Mr Wells said.
“We want to understand how customers think we should balance reliable services, fair and affordable bills, investment in water security, environmental responsibility and support for a thriving region.”
The submission will be reviewed by the Essential Services Commission, Victoria’s independent economic regulator.
Coliban Water said the feedback would help pinpoint what mattered most to customers, as well as any unmet needs or changing expectations that should be factored into its planning.
Mr Wells said past feedback had underscored the importance of reliable services, environmental responsibility and planning for population growth and climate change, all while keeping bills affordable and supporting customers doing it tough.
Customers, Traditional Owners, community groups, local councils, businesses and other stakeholders will have additional opportunities to have their say as the engagement process unfolds.
