The Launch into Learning program for Kindy transition is also running at the school over five Tuesdays. Ten preschoolers enjoyed day one last week.
In other St Joseph’s news, principal Helene Cahill, has announced that she will be reluctantly resigning from that position.
She will finish up at the end of the school year.

Jerilderie Red Cross members were recently joined by regional zone representative Valmae Ryan and deputy Jillian Gorey for lunch at the Sports Club, prior to the annual meeting.
Office bearers for 2022 are president/secretary Annette Kelly, treasurer Lucy Gurciullo, patron and publicity Lucy Sweeney.
The Red Cross needs pieces of fabric (any size), wool, buttons and ribbons, which are being used for and by refugees in the area. Sewing machines have been provided with volunteers to assist.
Meeting will now be held at 1pm on the second Wednesday of the month to welcome several new members, and to encourage new-comers to town, should they like to join in the work of Red Cross.

Ten days to go for the ferret races at Monash Park.
The family-friendly night is being hosted by the St Joseph’s Social and Fundraising Committee on Saturday, August 27. It starts at 6pm and entry is free.
Gravy rolls, kids meals, and drinks at bar prices will be available, with raffles, prizes, and of course the ferret races.

Portsea Camp is excited to announce placements have been reserved for January 2023.
Camp costs have risen substantially after two years of pandemic cancellations, and the committee are appealing to the community for any donations to assist in subsidising costs for the local children wishing to attend.

Older residents may remember Anne Crockett who lived at ‘Currabunganung’ off the Conargo Rd, some years ago, with her family.
In recent years Anne had been living in care in Melbourne, where she died on Friday, August 5. Sympathy is extended to all her family.
