The Apex Club of Rochester is making this appeal to the community for waste paper.
The club uses the money from paper collections for many purposes each year.

Many players and officials of the Rochester Football Club were “browned off” with the Bendigo Football League and were keenly interested in the suggestion that the club should transfer to the Goulburn Valley League ranks.
This was stated by a former president of the club, Mr Jack Anderson, during a meeting between officials of the club and the Goulburn Valley League at Kyabram on Wednesday night last.
Mr Anderson said Rochester had been facing a financial battle for some time to stay in the Bendigo League and now found it could no longer afford to remain.

Captain Jones and Johnson, of the Civil Aviation Department, landed in Rochester in the department’s new Bristol aeroplane on Thursday last.

A photograph of the local aerodrome and of the town of Rochester was taken from a height of 5000 feet.
The announcement was made at a meeting of delegates of the Rochester and District League on Thursday evening last that Rochester’s protest against Elmore for playing Trewarne (an unqualified man) had been upheld by the Victorian Football League, to whom the matter had been referred on appeal by Elmore.
The result is that the match afterwards played between Elmore and Nanneella does not affect the premiership contest, and the battle will be fought out by Rochester and Nanneella on the Rochester ground this afternoon.
If Rochester secures victory, the contest will be over, but, if defeated, Rochester (by reason of its minor premiership position) will have the right to challenge Nanneella.
