Grand final barbecue in Rochester
Come along and enjoy the company of other local men while watching the AFL grand final on the big screen over a free barbecue lunch.
The barbecue for men from flood-impacted communities in Campaspe Shire will be held at Rochester Football Netball Club on Saturday, September 30, from 1pm to 6pm.
There will be a free pick-up and drop-off bus service within a 10km radius of Rochester.
The barbecue lunch is free, with drinks at bar prices.
As this is a catered event, bookings are essential.

Seniors concert at Lockington
In honour of the 2023 Victorian Seniors Festival, Campaspe Shire Council is staging a concert featuring musical legend Lonnie Lee at the Lockington Community Centre.
The Australian music icon will be gracing the stage with his timeless hits on October 12.
The afternoon promises to be an extraordinary musical journey filled with nostalgia and entertainment.
Lee’s performance will start at 1.30pm and will be followed by afternoon tea, which is included in ticket price.

Jefferson Smith and Route 66 concert
If you are looking for a great night out with entertainment from Jefferson Smith, well here it is.
The Lockington Lions Club has organised the concert to be held at Lockington’s community hall on Friday, November 10, so grab some friends, put your dancing shoes on and come along for a great night.
Bookings for tables of 10 are available. Cost is $30 per person, with nibbles provided. BYO drinks.

Amateur radio training and assessments
The Bendigo Amateur Radio and Electronics Club training and assessment team will soon be scheduling training sessions for the Foundation Amateur Radio licence and assessments for those ready to sit the standard and advanced licence levels.
Training will be conducted via video conferencing and face-to-face.
Amateur radio is an interesting and educational pursuit that can also be used for alternative communications when other networks fail.
Expressions of interest are being sought from those interested in joining the club, or those wishing to upgrade their existing qualification.
