The children have had PiggySaver accounts since they were born, with Lauren having worked at the Community Bank for almost six years.
“People understand that by having kids’ accounts with the Community Bank, part of every dollar goes go back into the community,” Ms McKee said.
The OLSH grade three and two students have no idea what is in their savings accounts, but complete dishwashing, bedroom cleaning and other chores for their weekly allowance.
Bendigo Bank’s PiggySaver account has been crowned the best Children’s Saving Account for a major bank in Money Magazine’s 2023 Best of the Best Awards, announced today.
The PiggySaver account is for budding savers under the age of 12 and comes with a range of perks to teach kids early on how to be good with their money.
