The new Murrumbidgee Grant Finder is a free online hub that brings together grants from federal, state and local governments, as well as corporate and philanthropic sources.
It has been designed to make finding the right funding simple, so locals can focus on creating projects that benefit the community.
Murrumbidgee Mayor Ruth McRae OAM said the tool was a big win for community groups and the exciting range of initiatives and projects they undertake.
“We know that local volunteers and community groups do amazing work, but finding funding can be complicated and time consuming,” she said.
“The Murrumbidgee Grant Finder gives our community an easy and free way to discover grants and make their projects happen – whether it’s improving local facilities, running events or supporting people in need.”
The hub allows users to search for current grants, set up alerts for new opportunities, and access practical tips to prepare strong applications.
“This tool is about empowering our community. We want to make it as easy as possible for local people to bring their ideas to life and make Murrumbidgee an even stronger, more connected place.,” Cr McRae said.
For groups needing extra guidance, council can provide advice on preparing applications.
