Local community groups have a chance to secure up to $1000 in funding to host activities and events that foster connection and boost the wellbeing of seniors across Campaspe Shire.
The Seniors Program Grants are now open, and applications close on June 28.
Recipients will be eligible for financial support of up to $1000 per grant to deliver events, programs or activities aimed at improving social connection and wellbeing of senior community members in an accessible manner.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Daniel Mackrell encouraged community groups and organisations to take advantage of the grant opportunity.
“We're proud to support initiatives that improve wellbeing outcomes for older residents in our community and create meaningful opportunities for them to stay connected,” he said.
Following the successful launch of the SmartyGrants platform for Responsive and Community Grants, the Seniors Program Grants will utilise the system for the first time.
Community development officers will run pop-up sessions to provide applicants with support in putting together and submitting their applications.
Applicants will be contacted within six weeks after closing about the outcome of applications.
