A smoking ceremony was conducted by Uncle Rick Ronnan and a ribbon was cut by Member for Northern Victoria Mark Gepp.
The whole school was in attendance along with parents, Campaspe Shire council representatives and Member for Murray Plains Peter Walsh.
The building is split into three sections, with a fully fitted-out science wing, art classrooms and an innovative space for collaborative learning.
The collaborative learning space is made of four classrooms, with folding doors that can be opened to make one large learning area.
The whole building is light and airy, with top notch fittings and welcoming study areas.
Principal Melissa Gould said it was fantastic to see the new building open after all the work that was completed behind the scenes.
“This building has opened the students’ eyes and has them feeling pride in their school,” she said.
“Our goal is to empower students to dream and this beautiful space will allow them to do that.”
School captain Grace Bubb said she hoped the new building would help to increase student numbers.
“It’s a really positive space because of how open and bright it is,” she said.
“It helps everyone top take their work more seriously and makes us all proud to be students at the school.”
