The event will include both local and visiting practitioners of psychic readings, tarot, healing rituals, and free workshops and medium-ship demonstrations throughout the day.
'Mystic Fair’ owner Wilhemina Handley says the event is all about challenging consciousness.
“It’s about offering a service to the public that they are seeking, like healings and readings,” she said.
“One of the things I’ve found over the years is that people are looking for direction, and they very often don’t know who to turn to or where to go, so they’ll seek out a healer or a reader to give them that.”
The event will also feature stall holders selling products such as crystals, gemstone jewellery, and candles.
“Crystals have got different energies, there are candles that people use for meditation and relaxation — it’s all of those holistic products,” Ms Handley said.
“A lot of stallholders will sell gemstone jewellery, or incense, cards, things like that.”
Ms Handley said the event was beginner-friendly, so those wanting to dip their toes in the water of holistic and new age practises are more than welcome.
“If you were a first-timer walking through the door, and you used your intuition, you would feel the energy,” she said.
“I put feedback forms at the front of each event, and most of the feedback we receive is people telling us they can’t believe how good the energy is.”
Many of the stall-holders for Sunday’s event and for the next Mystic Fair on August 21 will be local, including ‘Granny Boho’ run by Kerri Leeson-Field.
“What I do like to do is call local stall-holders — I’ve got some stall-holders coming from surrounding towns, but it’s all about the locals being able to network their businesses,” Ms Handley said.
Entry to the event is $5 cash on the day, with kids under 12 entering free.
Attendees are advised to bring cash on the day, as some stall-holders do not have card facilities.
