Starting in 2015 when two families joined forces to help kids through tough times, they have raised more than $67,000 this year after local shearers donated their time to the effort.
Mark Gilmour from Landmark Elmore said the flexibility of the enterprise puts fund where they are needed and when.
"As most of the staff in our branch have young children, as do a lot of our growers, we believe that raising money to help children with cancer is important," he said.
"Shearing for Kids with Cancer has the flexibility to direct funds towards the family of any local children who may be diagnosed with cancer."
"This money helps with travel, accommodation and any pother expenses associated with cancer treatment."
The day included a raffle and an auction as well as a jumping castle for the children to enjoy.
And last year, sheep weren't the only ones getting a close shave when the entire Ogden family - the event organisers - decided to shave their heads.Â
