But these July school holidays, Campaspe regional libraries are ready, with staff hosting a full program of fun activities for children to enjoy.
Activities range from story time, to Lego and games days, as well as plenty of craft activities.
Rochester library
July 2: Story time is a fun way to boost pre-school-aged children’s confidence and reading readiness skills. Make friends, enjoy stories, learn rhymes, do some crafts. It’s on at 10.30am; for children aged three to five.
July 2: Choose a game to play or build a wonderful Lego structure. Come along from 1pm to 4pm and enjoy the free play. Open to all ages.
July 3: Using air-dry clay, create and decorate a dish for holding your treasures or to gift to someone special. On at 3pm for children aged five and over. Bookings are essential.

July 5: Use upcycled, pre-loved sports tops to make into fillable ‘footy pockets’. Children get to fill their footy pockets with waste textiles and learn how to sew them closed. The session is from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, for children aged five and over. Bookings are essential.
July 9: Choose a game to play or build a wonderful Lego structure. Free play all day at the library.
July 10: Come along and take part in a NAIDOC Week activity. Colour a wooden map of Australia with Indigenous designs to decorate. The session, on at 1pm, is open for children aged five and over. Bookings are essential.
July 11: Choose a game to play or build an amazing Lego structure. Free play all day at the library.
July 12: Decorate glass pebbles and turn them into magnets to display your special notes and achievements on the fridge. Bookings are essential for the 2pm activities. Designed for children aged five and over.
Rochester library is back home at 43-45 Mackay St, Rochester, and is open 8.30am to 4.30pm Tuesday to Friday (closed for lunch noon to 1pm), and Saturdays from 9.30am to 11.30am.

July 10: A wooden clock kit is ready to be decorated, assembled and displayed. You will need to supply your own AA battery. Free activity for children aged five and over. Please book for the 10am session.
