Tongala Senior Citizens Club members recently marked a major milestone, celebrating the club’s 58th birthday with a gathering full of community and connection.

Members were joined by visiting seniors group representatives from Kyabram, Lockington and Shepparton, who travelled to the Tongala Senior Citizens Club to join in the festivities on Friday, July 24.
Tongala Senior Citizens Club secretary Joy Chalmers thanked everyone who attended, with special praise reserved for the young volunteers from Tongala Primary School who helped on the day.
“They're out in the kitchen serving, they're cleaning up, and they're just liaising around with seniors, it’s beautiful,” she said.
As the Tongala Senior Citizens Club looks ahead, the bonds built between the town's oldest and youngest residents ensure the club’s legacy remains as strong and connected to community as ever.
