A National Sorry Day commemoration was held on Tuesday, May 26 at Monash Park in Shepparton.

The commemoration welcomed First Nations people, elders and schools from across the region to pause and acknowledge the Stolen Generations, who were forcibly taken from their families and communities.
There was a special performance by the Mulana Winyarr dancers from Notre Dame College in Shepparton.
Shepparton Region Reconciliation Group co-convenors Deirdre Robertson and Uncle Bobby Nicholls organised the event.
Reconciliation Week begins on Wednesday, May 27, with this year’s theme being ‘All In’.
