The campaign officially began on Monday, August 10, with Rotarians gathering at Seymour’s Royal Hotel, wearing the distinctive purple campaign shirts.
Throughout the 16-week campaign, participating businesses across Seymour have been displaying a new Monday Message each week.

The Monday Message is a simple, visible prompt designed to encourage conversations about respect, healthy relationships and the role we can all play in preventing domestic and family violence.
A local Rotary Club of Seymour spokesperson said, with six weeks still to go, there would be more messages to come.

“We would like to sincerely thank the Seymour community for the wonderful support the campaign has received so far,” the spokesperson said.
“Local businesses and their staff have helped make the campaign visible by wearing purple and displaying the weekly posters, and many community members have joined the conversation.
“We would also warmly welcome any other local businesses, organisations or individuals who would like to become involved.”

The campaign builds towards a major community event on Friday, November 27, including a community walk and free barbecue at Kings Park, followed by an evening with Matt Brown — co-founder of the global She Is Not Your Rehab movement — at the Seymour Community Art Centre.
The event falls within the international 16 Days of Activism campaign, held from Wednesday, November 25 to Thursday, December 10.
