Rocket 88, who were recently voted the number one artist in the region by Triple M Riverina, will play their lively cover act to the Taras Hall Hotel.
Guitarist Andrew Gibson has a special connection to Echuca as he met his wife, Jenna, on a football trip to town, and his in-laws, Peter and Catherine Rymer, still live locally.
Based in Wagga Wagga, Mr Gibson said the group was excited to be performing their show further south.

“We’re looking forward to coming down and playing music to new people,” he said.
“I don’t want to talk other people down, but we’re not like other bands. We’re pretty action-packed. High energy is how we get described a fair bit.
“We’re a show, not just a band.”
The group took home the best artist award thanks to its entertainment value, which includes a luminous show from Mr Gibson’s lead guitar, decked out with 800 lights.

The majority of the group are ex-military and have played together for about six years, although there have been a few member changes in that time.
Mr Gibson served in the Australian Air Force for 15 years along with a former bassist, while other band members were in the army.
“We worked together, and just started mucking around, and then started gigging,” Mr Gibson said.
“(Now) half of us are contractors for the military, and we’re all on the same base at the same time.”
The band is also booked to play a wedding at Perricoota Station this weekend, who they thanked for its support.
Patrons can expect to hear pub rock classics, including hits from AC/DC, The Angels and Guns N’ Roses throughout the night.
The energetic show is set to begin at the Taras Hall Hotel from 8pm on Friday, August 1.
