Successful rural artists and industry professionals will talk about telling great stories, building a sense of place and will provide valuable insight and networking opportunities.
Presented by Regional Arts Victoria, the one-day event on Saturday, October 19 will run from 10am to 5pm at Rochester Shire Hall.
Liz Zito from Regional Arts Victoria said the event, currently in its second year, will allow regional artists' work to "have a life outside of its local community".
“Each Arts Connect event is tailored for its community, building on local strengths and working to address local needs. It has become a means to strengthen local creative leadership and build stronger connections throughout a network of creative people across the state,” Ms Zito said.
Industry professionals at the event will include Bob and Barbara Glennison from Yea Arts, Irene Pagram from Maker's Space, Kim Bennett from Regional Arts Victoria, Reg Qemal from Shepparton Albanian Harvest Festival and Bronwyn Ward from Yarra Valley Arts.
