Embracing this year's global theme, ‘Give to Gain’, the program invites community members to discover the active, creative, cultural and educational experiences on offer.
The program will run from March 2 to 13.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Daniel Mackrell is encouraging community members to embrace not only International Women’s Day on March 8, but the shire’s whole two-week program of International Women’s Day celebrations.
“Our community thrives when everyone feels welcome to learn, share and grow,” Cr Mackrell said.
“Over these two weeks of International Women’s Day celebrations, I encourage people of all genders to get together, explore new activities and celebrate the strength, creativity and potential that exists within all of us.”
All events are free to attend; however, bookings are essential and can be made on council’s website.
With a range of events taking place around the region, all community members are invited to participate.
Echuca
Hidden Heroines: Researching the Women in your Family Tree will take place at Echuca library on Monday, March 2 from 10.30am to noon.
Ngala Yapaneyepuk ‘We Make Together’ Cultural Craft workshop facilitated by Neva Atkinson will take place at Echuca East Reserve on Friday, March 6 from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
A Personal Safety and Self‑Defence class will be delivered at Wickhams Martial Arts Centre on Saturday, March 7 from 1pm to 2.30pm.
River Currents: String Quartet by the Murray features two one-hour concerts by Cedar Collective String Quartet as part of the Wonderland on the Murray program. The concerts will take place on Saturday, March 7 from 6pm to 7pm, and from 8pm to 9pm. Bookings are not required for the two concerts.
Kyabram
Hidden Heroines: Researching the Women in your Family Tree will take place at Kyabram library on Monday, March 2 from 2pm to 3.30pm.
A Body Balance: Strength, Flexibility and Calm session will go ahead at Kyabram Memorial Park on Friday, March 6 from 10am to 11am.

Barista Skills for Workforce Readiness training will be delivered at Rushworth library on Thursday, March 12 from 9am to noon.
Rochester
Barista Skills for Workforce Readiness training will be delivered at Rochester library on Wednesday, March 4 from 9am to noon.

Abstract Reflections: A Journey Within Art Class will be held at Nanneella Town Hall on Thursday, March 12 from 6pm to 8.30pm.
Beyond the shire’s program, local organisations are hosting IWD celebrations for the community.
C4EM will host its Gain to Give event at Rich River Golf Club on Sunday, March 1 from 12.30pm to 3pm and anyone interested can purchase tickets here.
