Budget misses mark

Member for Albury Justin Clancy says the NSW budget is a missed opportunity for the regions.

Albury MP, Justin Clancy has responded to the 2025-26 NSW Budget saying it is a missed opportunity to support regional families, infrastructure and small business.

“Of particular concern is the lack of investment in civil infrastructure to help unlock vital housing,” Mr Clancy said.

“Our Councils are calling for this investment, and I have been calling for this investment.

“(This) budget clearly misses this mark.”

Mr Clancy said it was concerning that the NSW Government increased taxation revenue by 28.6 per cent since coming to power, but there was very little support in return for families and small business.

“To build new houses we need investment in civil infrastructure, roads, water and sewers,” he said.

This is a government that has prioritised drivers on driverless trains in Sydney over investment in regional NSW.”

He noted that funding provisions for Albury Wodonga Hospital was not anew allocation.
