The RFS is reminding all residents that “One Ember Can End It”, that a single ember can threaten your home, so don’t wait until it’s too late to leave.
Residents are encouraged to prepare their properties, review their bush fire survival plans and get ready for the upcoming bush fire season.
Develop a plan, prepare your property and know what you'll do if a fire threatens your home.
To find help to develop your bush fire survival plan, go to www.myfireplan.com.au
Whether you plan to leave early, to stay and defend your property, or you don’t yet have a plan, there is information and advice to help you stay as safe as possible.
Also download the NSW Hazards Near Me App and stay informed, stay prepared and help keep the community safe.

It’s important to remember that fire permits will be required during the Bush Fire Danger Period.
Before lighting any fires, check current NSW RFS requirements and ensure you have the necessary permits and approvals.
Where required, notify before conducting a burn and comply with all permit conditions and notification requirements here https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/notify
