Cale James ran a brilliant 2km in the 10-year-old boys to finish second, Maddie Howard ran an incredible 3km race and finished sixth in the 11-year-old girls and Jordan Town qualified for the regional finals for the third straight year, finishing eighth in the 12-year-old boys event.
The school also has some runners are waiting to see if they qualify for the next stage.
Trey White (13th), Bailey Town (16th) and Natalie Moon (17th) are emergencies and will compete if any of the top 12 runners pull out.
These students earned their place in the team by running the local cross country under the qualifying times.
The Campaspe Cross Country involves schools from all around the region, including all the Echuca schools, Lockington, Kyabram and the Campaspe Cluster schools and takes in all the best runners from the district.
Each race has around 100 students in it and the standard is exceptionally high.
Although Rochester only had 20 runners involved, the amount of support that each of them received was incredible.
On several occasions Rochester students not involved in the race would go up to the final bend and run the straight with their teammate, cheering them on the whole way.
The noise that was made everytime a Rochy runner ran past the finish line meant that everybody at Vic Park knew who had finished the race.
All students ran some fantastic times and their determination and resilience was something the school was very proud of.

Thanks to the parents that drove the children to the event and to the enormous amount of parents that turned up to cheer our runners on. You certainly motivated the children.
