Jaws of life used to rescue woman in Tongala collision

A WOMAN was trapped in her car after a collision at Tongala this afternoon.

The female driver was T-boned by a P-plater in a Commodore wagon at the intersection of Henderson and Finlay roads just before 3pm.

CFA rescued the woman from her car using the jaws of life after her car was slammed into the ditch several meters from the intersection.

A worker from McColl’s Transport said: “I knew that sound as soon as I heard it".

“It doesn’t happen as much here as you’d expect considering the way people come through here," he said.

McColl’s Transport used a forklift to remove the P-plater wagon.

Emergency services are responding to a car accident at Tongala.

Police, CFA and ambulance are on their way to the crash at the corner of Henderson and Finlay roads.
