Not a physical trace, of a hug or embrace
Until after they have a vaccine.
Take care of your hygiene, as much as it may seem
Wash your hands and use sanitiser
Please cover your mouth, if you cough or you shout
These are rules to make us wiser.
To be COVID sound, to keep our loved ones around
We have to take all measures to task
Take care of yourself, look after your health
And always remember your mask.
Be you healthy or hale, or older or frail
This virus, it chooses us all
Be you male or female, be you dark-skinned or pale
COVID-19 is a virus to all.
To keep social distance, gives you much more resistance
If you have to go out of your gate
The best way to stop it, whether or not you have got it
Is to stay home and self-isolate.
If any fever-like signs, do keep up with the times
Go get tested, it's not too intense
Then stay home and rest, ‘till the results of your test
Put you on the right side of the fence.
Keep your mental health strong, but if something's gone wrong
Don't hide it and compound your plight
Let somebody know, to bring back the glow
And help you back into the light.
Don't be a statistic, be pro-optimistic
These steps are for us all to survive
By these few simple measures, we'll get through this together
And return to a much better life.
