CWA Goulburn Valley West Group president Jenny Goonan welcomed 19 ladies to the Annual Luncheon last Sunday.

This was held in the dining room of the Hill Top Country and Golf Club in Tatura.

All present enjoyed a lovely two-course meal and the friendships of those from the different branches of CWA that make up the GV West Group, as this will be the last catch-up for many months until the COVID-19 virus is under control.

Jenny and Rushworth Branch president Mary Beck entertained members with the playing out of a humorous telephone call.

GV West Group also held their annual meeting and February conference recently at Harston Hall with the state treasurer Marie Vassallo present.

Marie bought all members present up to date with CWA’s commitment to disperse funds donated for the bushfire appeal by CWA members, the state government and various large corporations.

This is a huge task but also a feather in CWA’s cap that the government and corporations value CWA’s standing in the community.

The members present enjoyed a shared lunch and much fellowship, as well as attending to the business being discussed.

Donations from members of socks, toiletries, children’s clothing, beanies and scarves were collected to be distributed to those in need in the Goulburn Valley.
